Enrollment Waiting List

To maximize your school's revenue potential, it is important to minimize the lag time between a classroom opening becoming available and the enrollment of the eligible waiting student. The Enrollment Waiting List provides the means to track and monitor students that have been registered to attend your school but have not been enrolled due to full capacity.

As students are disenrolled and a classroom's enrollment drops below the defined maximum (as defined in the Classroom Folder) the Enrollment Waiting List window will identify the eligible students waiting to enroll and display the suggested candidate for enrollment by classroom.

Students are placed on the Enrollment Waiting List via the Student Folder Enrollment Tab.  On the Enrollment Tab, you indicate the student is registered, but not yet enrolled or started.  You also indicate in the 'Start Requirement' section of the Enrollment Tab that either the start date is ASAP or by a certain date.  This information is used in this window to list and prioritize the list.  The criteria used for slotting the "ready" candidates within a particular classroom can be based one either Registration Date or Needed Start Date.

View Classroom

Select a classroom, and SchoolLeader will display the student list based on 'Ready for Enrollment', sorted by registration date.  Students who are ready for enrollment should be contacted first to see if they will still enroll in your school.

You can also click on the 'Waiting For Opening' button to give you a list of students on your waiting list but their anticipated start date has not yet arrived.  An example of a student on this list would be a newborn who cannot start until they are 6 weeks old.

Only one button (view) can be selected at any one time. The view in effect at the moment is indicated by the yellow highlighted button.

Slotting Priority

You have the choice of analyzing the waiting list by either Registration Date or Needed Start Date. Select the appropriate option from this button list and SchoolLeader will immediately prioritize the list in that order and present the best candidates "Ready for Enrollment" or "Waiting For Opening" (depending on which View button is pushed).

Remove From Waiting List (Button)

The REMOVE button is typically used when the parent of a registered Student changes their mind and withdraws from the waiting list before an opening comes available. Since they never attended your school you might be inclined to just delete them completely from the database. Removing the student from the waiting list will delete the student and their primary guardian from your database.

Go to Students Folder (Button)

Select a student and click on Go to Student Folder to display the Student Folder.

Go to Guardians Folder (Button)

Select a guardian and click on Go to Guardian Folder to display the Guardian Folder.

Average Days Between Disenrollments

SchoolLeader will automatically analyze the disenrollment history for the last 6 months for the currently selected classroom, and provide you with a statistical average for the number of days between dis-enrollments. This information can be useful when trying to provide Primary Guardians with an idea of when it is likely that an opening will be available for them.
