The SchoolLeader "Event Logging" feature is designed to provide you (the owner) with a tool to automatically and discreetly record specific Event Types by each individual User ID. This data can be reviewed later through the Event Log Viewer.
There are many event types that can be individually turned on or off. This allows you to isolate those events most important for monitoring and avoid those that are unimportant to you. With the event log, you have the ability to answer questions such as "How many payments were deleted and by whom?", "Were any Late Fee charges overridden and when?" Think of it as a "surveillance" camera for SchoolLeader.
To access the Event Monitoring Options window select the "Event Options Monitoring" button in the lower right corner of the DBSupport's main window. The window shown below will be displayed:
Click on the "Event Types" you want to monitor. If you do not want to perform any Event Monitoring, simply un-check all the boxes. At the very bottom of this window specify the number of months to keep the event log history. SchoolLeader will automatically maintain the logs for the specified length of time before discarding them.
To close the Event Monitoring window, click on the 'X' in the upper right hand corner of the Window.
