If you did NOT purchase the SchoolLeader Accounting Package or if you will NOT be using the SchoolLeader A/R system, then you can bypass this section that discusses setting up your A/R Rules.
All rules used in SchoolLeader are defined by you to represent the way your specific business operates. Rules such as;
Recurring Fees: fees and discounts you apply on a regular basis, such as a weekly or monthly tuition, sibling discounts, employee discounts, etc.
Attendance Based Fees for Drop in/Late Pickup/Early Drop Off: fees that apply to children who are not on a recurring schedule (attendance based billing), or who incur early drop off and/or late pickup charges
Late Payment Fees: fees charges for account balances not paid on time
Enrollment fees: fees associated with registering a new student, or the fees charged for re-registration
NSF Fees: fee charged to an account when a check has insufficient funds (bounced check)
Activity Fees: associate the AR subaccount used for tracking Activities revenue
Advance Charge Rules: determine how to handle revenue billed in a future period
Account Statement Message: print a global message on all account statements

All of these rules can be accessed by clicking on Accounting, then Accounts Receivable, then A/R Rules, then the specific rule you need to edit.
