To Start the FrontDesk Manager program, double click on the FrontDesk Manager Icon on your desktop or select FrontDesk from your Start menu button.
The following login screen will appear:
Type in your User ID (you defined the User IDs in DB-Support)
Type in you password (your password will be the first 8 characters of your User ID)
Select the SL Server name from the list (will contain the server name followed by "\SchoolLeader")
Select the school name from the list.
Click on LOGIN.
The first time you login after your User ID has been assigned in DB-Support, the password will be the same as the first 8 characters of your User ID. If you want to change your password, press the Change Password button instead of the Login button and you will see the following window:
Enter your current password in the Current Password box
Enter your New password in the New Password box
Re-enter your new password in the Confirm New Password box
Your password is limited to 8 characters. If you type in more than 8 characters, your password will be rejected as being INVALID. Your password is NOT case sensitive. Do NOT use spaces in your password.
FrontDesk Manager should be shut down at the end of each day. This includes FrontDesk that is running on each individual workstation, as well as FrontDesk that is running on the main server. This will eliminate any unauthorized access while the computers are unattended.
