Task Manager

The Task Manager is a personal schedule management tool that helps you control your appointments and tasks directly from within SchoolLeader. It provides you with a means of scheduling tasks and events for future reference. It also can be optional set to "remind" you when tasks are due based on the defined time. Many schools use the Task Manager for medicine distribution reminders.

To access the Task Manager, click on Tools, then Task Manager.

Tasks can be entered for a future date and time AND you can also create "repeating Tasks" for those events that occur on a regular basis.  Task Schedules can be printed out for the day being displayed using the PRINT TASKS button, or you can also print Task Schedules for an entire date range by using the Central Report Manager window.

Show Tasks For User ID

You can view other SchoolLeader user's event calendars by selecting their User ID from the list.  This is a useful communication tool for centers that have multiple SchoolLeader users accessing the system.

Entering a New Task

To enter a task, click on the first available row in the grid then:

Create a Repeating Task

If you want to repeat this task, click on the task, and then click on REPEAT TASK.  Select the appropriate dates and then click on ADD.

Remove a Repeating Task

To remove a repeating task, select the task and then click on REPEAT TASK.  Now click on REMOVE.  If the task manager does not immediately refresh, then click off the selected date.

Start/Stop Alarm

If you have set up a reminder with an alarm warning, then SchoolLeader will 'sound the alarm' when that task is due.  Click on the Start/Stop Alarm to stop the alarm.
