The Event Log Viewer is created as a result of defining Event Log Monitoring Options.
The Event Log Viewer provides a history of the user transactions that have been recorded by the SchoolLeader Event Log Monitor. The amount of information recorded can be large depending on how many Event Types were activated. The viewer will help manage this information so that only certain areas can be isolated for review.
To view the event logs, press the "View Event Logs" button from the main DBSupport window. This will cause the following window to display:
The Viewer provides you with three separate tabs along the bottom.
By Logon User ID
By Event Date
By Event Type
Each section displays the events in different ways. Simply click on the tab you want to use to analyze the event log. The selection criteria for each view is located along the top of each window.
Logon User ID
Displays the Logon User ID of the individual who was using SchoolLeader at the time the event occurred. Use this view if you are isolating the activity of a particular employee for a given period of time.
Event Date
Provides a chronological listing of all monitored events for all userids in a date range.
Event Type
The Event Type groups specific events into higher level categories such as "Guardian Relation Changes" or "Payment Reversals". This can be helpful if you are looking for abuses related to specific types of events.
Each event view can be printed for permanent record if necessary by selecting the PRINT button near the top of the window.
To close the Event Log Viewer window, click on the 'X' in the upper right hand corner of the Window.
