When starting up Front Desk Manager, you may receive this Activation Error Message:
If you receive this message, please follow these steps before calling Technical Support.
Ensure that DB-Watch is running on your server PC. Check that you have the little duck with the magnifying glass in the lower right hand corner of your PC (your systray).
If the duck is there:
double click on the duck on the lower right hand corner (systray)
click on STOP PROCESS; the duck will disappear from the systray
double click on the DB-Watch icon that is on your desktop; the duck will reappear in the systray
start up Front Desk Manager
If that doesn't help, then check the system clock on your server, and the system clock on your workstations. To check your clock, double click on the time that is displayed in the systray. Remember to check the date, year, and time for accuracy.
If your clocks are synchronized, then reboot the server.
Also reboot the workstations.
If you still receive the activation error, call Technical Support for assistance.
