If you are using a zip disk to store your SchoolLeader database backups and you receive an error message that the file is too large to copy to the zip disk, there are several options to explore:
Verify that the physical zip disk is not damaged (copy a smaller file to the zip disk)
Check the size of the SchoolLeader.bak file against the size of your zip disk capacity. If you zip disk capacity is 100meg and your SchoolLeader backup database is 110meg, then obviously your backup will not fit on your zip disk. The SchoolLeader backup file is automatically zipped up for you, so if it doesn't fit on your current backup device, you need to consider purchasing a larger backup medium.
Use another backup device, such as a CD Writer or Tape Backup System. These devices hold more information than a zip disk device.
Run a SchoolLeader Archive on your database. Your database may have grown to be so large because of 'old' data that still exists in the primary database. Refer to Maintaining Database Archives in Chapter 2 of this help guide.
